LOUNGE SET DETAILS:

This lounge set is crazy fantastic and beautifully made. I believe it was made in the 1980s but made out of a lounge set pattern from the 1940s. It features 3 pieces and includes a pant, asymmetrical closure blouse and large triangle scarf for a turban or other style of head adornment. The pattern is amazing and includes black geometric lines in funky positions with white dots. The shirt piece has button closures, hook and eye closures as well as multiple large fabric covered snap buttons covered in the same fabric along with matching handmade shoulder pads. The scarf edges are hand rolled beautifully. The pants feature a center Coats Clark metal zipper and a slide hook closure. The pants are fully lined in a red material. I really love the details on this. The cuffs are beautiful and piped in a black trim and give the appearance of a French cuff topped with a button. The fabric is slinky, soft with a slight sheen to it. There is no label on any of the pieces and was likely handmade by a skilled seamstress. The top is meant to be worn loose. This would best fit a size small because of the hip and bottom hem of the shirt measurement.

This is in very good condition. The damage to the outer area that I spot is wear to the very edges of the French cuff trim and a 1 inch seam break in the seat seam. There is damage to the inner lining of the pants. That includes two tears shown in the images and a stain also shown in the same images. The elastic waistband fabric still seems to be good and snaps back when stretched but the lining has some tears at the waistband also shown in the images. All of these imperfections are minor and would not detract at all from presenting beautifully when worn. The fabric is an acrylic to the best of my knowledge.
