This ankle-length, lipstick red cotton ladies sailor pant from the early 1980s has a high waist and a button front, with a functional row of buttons on each side. Small pleats just below the fitted waistband add a bit of fullness to the hips. The legs are slightly full as well, but with pegged ankles (with bands that button closed at the hem, creating small pleats above them). Vertical topstitching from waist to hem, both front and back, creates a long look. Wide patch pockets trim each hip. The trousers are unlined and made of lightweight, 100% cotton that should be very comfy to wear. I can totally see a woman (or a man) in an 80s New Wave music video rocking these colorful sailor style pants! They are in excellent to mint condition, most likely unworn.
