Rare 50s Wide Picture Hat Covered In White Malibu Feathers Designed by Lora Partially Restored Feathers Glamour Runway by Lora

I have had this hat since the 80's and even wore it to the Kootsie Ball, an semi-annual event in Buffalo NY. ( see picture), but the feathers could not take the heat of Las Vegas, the glue dried out, and they just fell off, I was then faced with a fur hat that was terribly yellowed by the previous owners lack of care. It did NOT smell of cigarettes, but the original fur underside looked as if it had hung in a smoky bar for years. It was very yellow, so I tried to clean it as best I could with a tooth brush and some watered down bleach. It brightened up a lot, but as you can see, it could still use a professional cleaning. I then replaced the missing feathers with a Malibu feather boa and a glue gun. The hat has wire in the outer edge of the hat for shaping, and also in the head grips. With a bit more effort I feel this hat could be completely restored. Or you can use as is. Great for stage screen, or TV, costume parties, etc. Makes a GREAT impression! If it were in good shape I would charge over $350, but at this stage in its life, I am just asking a lot less. I need to downsize, and I only wear men's clothes now. At 70, this hat just isn't me.!!!
