Straight out of the Golden Age of Hollywood! Late 1930s / early 1940s evening gown with a black rayon jersey top with a sweetheart bust and delicate ruching along the middle. The voluminous skirt is cream and made of the most beautiful and unusual variety of stiffened honeycomb cotton lace over a rayon acetate underskirt. It boasts a 152" sweep!

Fastens with hook and eye closures at the side; small, light shoulder pads. Presents in excellent condition with dirt along the hemline of the mesh and underskirt from where it probably dragged the ground and a break in the lace near the hemline (shown). Dry cleaning required.
