Made in Hong Kong during the 1980's for Dana Buchman, this vintage all wool 2-piece set is a deep burgundy wine color, with slim leg pants and an open-front tunic length sweater with a shawl style front edge. The set is marked as a US size Small. However, that is 1980's sizing, so please use the measurements below to determine if these separates will fit you well:

For the sweater top:
Shoulder to shoulder is not critical because this is a drop-shoulder fit.
Sleeve length is 17 inches, with the under arm length at 16 inches.
Bust size is free due to the open front.
Waist size is free due to the open front.
Full length is 30 inches.
Hemline width is 54 inches.
Each side has a 4 and 1/2 inch side slit.

For the Pants:
Waist size is 26 inches un-stretched and 35 inches when fully stretched.
Hip size is 44 inches.
Inseam is 30 inches.
Full length is 42 and 1/2 inches.

In these photos I show it worn open front as designed, with a simple black tank under it and a bonus vintage silver tone necklace at the neckline. To show you another option I belted it with a wide black belt to add more structure at the waist.

Note that this listing is for the 2-piece Dana Buchman set, with a bonus necklace. Neither the black top or the black belt is included in this sale. Those are worn in the photos merely to show how versatile this set can be with different accessories.

These pants are the classic flat front pants style, with an elastic waist and two side slash pockets.

Each of the individual pieces appears to be in Excellent Vintage Condition.

There are no stains, holes, odors or unraveling and these separates come to you from a home with no pets and no smokers.

Freshly cleaned, this set will come to you ready to wear.

Please remember that these Dana Buchman pieces are over 30 years old and although they have been well cared for, they are not new.
