These numbered plates were designed by legendary Israeli kinetic artist, Yaakov Agam, for The Council for a Beautiful Israel in the 1970's. They are truly interesting to look at, and a great example of Agam's ability to shift the eyes' perception-- at times the word BEAUTIFUL pops, other times, its the word ISRAEL written in Stars of David that appears. This is true of the leaf chain, flowers, and stars of David that decorate above and below the wording. Such is the brilliance of Yaakov Agam's artwork. The Council for a Beautiful Israel (CBI) is an independent, public, non-profit organization that promotes progress in the quality of life in Israel.

~CONDITION:

Excellent condition. There are no chips, fleabites, or crazing. These are special pieces, and have been well cared for throughout the years. I did go ahead and hand wash and dry them to prepare them for their next stop in life.
