Made in Peru, so perfect for cooler fall and winter days, this never worn vintage Alpaca 44 by 9 inch oblong scarf is beautifully soft and positively purple. Each end is accented with 1 and 1/4 inch long pom poms in three shades; dark purple, light purple and magenta pink. What could be more fun to wear than this unique muffler style scarf?

The original paper hang tag remains attached, plus a bit of the purple alpaca yarn in case you need it for any future repair.

Alpaca wool from Peru is considered the gold standard for this yarn. Alpaca scarves are as soft as cashmere but more durable, warmer and lighter.

According to Wikipedia, "Alpaca fleece is a lustrous and silky natural fiber. While similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, not prickly, and bears no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic. Without lanolin, it does not repel water. It is also soft and luxurious."

Easy to wear, the scarf could be worn tied around the neck (several ways are shown in the photos) or hanging down in front under lapels.
