This brooch is made of cut black onyx and many tiny cut marcasites set in a sterling silver bar pin back. Set in the middle is a 3/8 x .25 inch, faceted black onyx stone. It is set in a three dimensional, raised sterling silver bar pin that measures 2.5 x .5 inches. There is open work on either side of the onyx stone. There are multiple tiny cut marcasite stones throughout the typical art deco design bar pin. The 2.5 inch trombone closure is typical of the era.It is a classic art deco design of the time made in its hey-day around 1920. It is great condition.
