Nautical Style White and Navy 50’s Straw Hat

This absolutely darling 1950s sailor hat in navy blue and off-white straw will perch jauntily on top of your head when worn, tilted or straight-on, as you prefer. The flat crown of off-white straw rounds slightly in the center, when worn. The navy straw section surrounding the top of the crown has curved sections on each side, to help keep it in place when worn. (This section of the hat is wired inside, for greater stability.) The fine, eye-length veil is navy blue. On the right side of the hat, the circular trim of white straw reminds us of a life preserver! It is attached to the hat with a brass-colored metal ring, and has 3 rhinestone-trimmed, small spirals dangling from it, so cute! The hat is unlined, except for a grosgrain inner band. Matching navy straw hatpins secure the ends of the veiling in back. This fun 1950s hat should fit most head sizes, since the wired sides are somewhat adjustable. It is in very good condition, with a few small breaks in the veiling, just below the front edge of the crown (best seen in our left-side-view photo, if you zoom in).

Crown height/depth: flat at center, but 2. 5" at wired side sections

Crown diameter: 8"

Label: Styled by Carroll, Adjustable head size
