Occupied Japan Porcelain Figurine Boy with Violin

Sad and charming little porcelain figurine boy playing a violin

Made in Occupied Japan (1945 to 1952)

3. 5" tall figure of a little boy with blond curls

He is miserable because he has to practice the violin.

At some point, he broke his neck. He was repaired with an old glue that has now darkened. Is this why he's sad?

Condition: Good condition--please notice the repaired break.
