Made by Shadowline for their "Comforts" lingerie line, this floral print pastel pink floral print mid-calf length never worn Shadowline peignoir set has a sleeveless nightgown and wrap front robe. New Old Stock, original paper hang tags are still attached to each. At the yoke of the gown there is a feminine floral rose sheer insert. Narrow white lace accents the edges and there are curved sides.

In the detailed photo I show a close up of the yoke, the paper hang tags and the label. Back in the day when these were sold the retail price for the gown all by itself was $34, so I am sure the robe was even more expensive. This is a well-made set.

This super soft Shadowline Comforts 50% cotton and 50% polyester fabric is machine washable and can be tumbled dry on low. Because the paper hang tags remain attached I haven't laundered it.

Shadowline was a lingerie company, located in Morganton, North Carolina. It was founded in 1946 by Sherrod Salsbury, Jr. The company had the reputation of producing lingerie of very high quality.

This was an original Salesroom sample, meant to be displayed in a Shadowline showroom. That is where department store and boutique lingerie buyers would come to see what was available to order. The salesroom is where they could buy merchandise in bulk for a future season.

Each of these pieces is in unworn Mint Pristine Vintage condition, worn briefly for this photo shoot.

There are no snags, all the seams are intact and there are no stains, holes or other issues.
