exceptional quality natural pearl necklace
pearls are of Japanese origin and are probably from Lake Biwa Pearl Fields
necklace originally dates circa 1870-1920 and comes from the estate of an individual related to the Mikimoto Pearl Field Family, but i do not know if Mikimoto and Lake Biwa fields were related in any manner
this exceptional quality necklace is comprised of 6 total strands of naturally grown 3. 76mm (approximate based on pearls being perfectly matched) pearls in a pale creamy white tone, interspersed throughout by 14k yellow gold round spacer accent beads at even intervals.
the necklace measures 29 inches total length and features an impressive "statement" security clasp in 14k yellow gold and accented with approximately 3-4 carats total weight of navrette cut natural garnets set to look like a large exotic floral blossom.
this piece is timeless, classic, elegant and if worn with the clask accent at the base of throat as a choker look, they look amazing draped down any gown with an open back as they shimmer and float in beautiful iridescent waves in a way that only the best pearls can.
please feel free to ask questions. this piece is newly restrung to replicate the original necklace exactly.
