A wonderful Nantucket basket sporting a basket of flowers on its ivoryite oval plaque. This plaque is located on the top fastened onto an oval wood piece. The front closure is also an ivoryite piece as well as the fasteners holding the top handle on the bag. This is a scrimshaw basketweave is from the 1960s-1970s. There is "B" on the bottom, this lends me to believe it could be a "Barlow" made basket. These are very hard to find! It is very light in weight and easy to carry and looks great with any outfit!
