A wonderful Nantucket basket sporting an ivoryite whale atop a wood plaque. This wonderful piece is a child’s size! I have never seen one! Very Rare indeed! This plaque is located on the top fastened onto a rectangular wood piece. The front closure is also an ivoryite piece as well as the fasteners holding the top handle on the bag, wicker hinges. Fully lined in vinyl with an interior pocket. This is a scrimshaw basketweave is from the 1950's These are very hard to find! It is very light in weight easy to carry and looks great with any outfit!
