Made by Alice Polynesian Fashions, this mid-century midi-dress is a tropical dream come true. Such lovely and interesting details! This empire waist dress features a gathered bust with a sweet bow accent, and a 'train' of sorts down the back, as seen in many Hawaiian dresses of the era. Inside, there is a hook and eye feature that tightens the dress around the waist to give definition while letting the train in the back flow naturally (there are no zippers or buttons, you pull it over your head and then tighten to fit via the hook and eye strap inside).
This dress is in very good condition, with no flaws to note. Super cute and wearable for almost any occasion. I have a dress in this style- the fit is very flattering, and the train feature in the back is a real attention-getter.
There is no materials tag in the garment, but I would guess that it is cotton based on comparing it with other similar dresses I have and have seen online. There is also no size tag. I would say this is a modern US size Small-Medium, but please consult the measurements below and compare to a dress that fits you well.
Dimensions below. These were taken when laid flat, so please double all except length. :)
Chest: 16"
Waist: 18" (remember- with the interior hook and eye- this measurement can be made smaller by appx 2-3")
