Fabricated in a beautiful mix of cotton florals with a solid maroon colored cotton sateen skirtUpper sleeve is done in a quilted green Rayon or rayon blendSkirt is hand gathered and set into the high empire waistStunning handwoven back panel with a mirrored medallion at the center and is bordered by silk bands embroidered with mirror work.Below is a green looped fringed finished with beadwork at the ends. Maker: unknown, this is a handmade traditional folkwear pieceCondition: Good. There is color fade to the green sleeves. Some of the quilting stitches are broken, some of the fringe on the back has come loose. A few of the mirrors are cracked or missing. There is wear to the lavender silk on the mirror work strips. A small hole in the red sateen skirt, that I left unpatched as is really gets lost in the folds. IMO the wear to this piece is more of a patina and just adds to its beauty and history. See photos.
