Vintage 1950's oatmeal brown mohair & wool Donegal Design tailored coat with matching scarf. Donegal was founded in the 1950's and is known for high quality mohair wool products that are 100% sourced & designed in Ireland. This coat is chic & ultra MCM with an a-line design giving a slight swing when worn. It has large side pockets and is fully lined in a soft and luxurious peach fabric. The outer fabric is 70% mohair & 30% wool and will keep you warm on the coldest of days. It boasts it's original matching scarf with fringed edges that attaches at the shoulders, staying in place however you wish to style it. It buttons at center front with 4 large buttons. All buttons match the main fabric color, offering a monochromatic look. It's label inside reads "70% mohair 30% wool 100% new wool,Donegal Design,Handwoven in republic of Ireland, Dry clean only". It is long in length, falling well below the knee and it fits like a medium. But it's silhouette would allow it to offer a loser fit on a smaller person or a snugger fit on a larger person. It is in excellent vintage condition with no damage to the outer fabric. There is minor damage to the lining (See last photo). A spare button is included on the inside. It comes from smoke free home.
