Enchanting 1970's maxi dress with a sheer paisley pointed tabard overlay. All the Goddess vibes reside right here in this garment. The under dress is a simple ankle length sheath in rich purple crepe. Crepe is notorious for fading and discoloration and this dress does show and almost ombre-effect. The top of the dress is a darker purple and there is a gradual fade to a brighter magenta at the hem. Frankly, I am into it. It does not look like a flaw and adds interest to the dress. There is a long slit at the left side. Over the purple dress is a sheer chocolate brown paisley and gold metallic overlay. It is gathered at the neckline with small decorative buttons at the shoulders. The tabard is trimmed in gold metallic thread and is V shaped with a tassel at the bottom. There are small fabric belt loops at the waist, but my rope belt is not included. You can wear this loose, belted all the way around or just belted in front leaving the back like a cape. This dress is unlined but opaque. Pulls over the head, no closures.
