Words simply won't do this ensemble justice, but we'll certainly try! Gorgeous 1960s expertly made handmade silk evening gown is a one of a kind original. The white silk faille fabric is embossed with a floral pattern, and then HAND-PAINTED with deep magenta roses and green stems. The bustline is adorned with 3-D roses (in a darker hue) and glittering gel sequins. The inside of the dress is almost as beautiful as the outside, with vertical boning across the bustline and lined in the most beautiful sheer silk tulle/organza. The back of the dress boasts a long back bustle and back metal zipper. There is a coordinating long, dramatic shawl.

It is in excellent condition. I don't see any real indication of it being worn very much, if it all. Maybe once. There is an area of yellowing on the shawl, but when dipped in water, it immediately washed away. However, we do not recommend submerging in water. As the roses are hand-painted, this ensemble will require professional dry cleaning to preserve its color. It is shown without a crinoline.

This magnificent gown is red carpet worthy, a collectible.
