This little vase gets big attention, with its dramatic dragon handles (they actually look like sea dragons to me) and lustrous finish. The purple and yellow pansies are also beautiful and totally 19th century. This was made in Austria and hand-painted at least in part (the pansies are probably a transfer). It is in the style of Robert Hanke, but I am not 100% sure it is by him and his Royal Wettina company. A beautiful piece such as a traveler would bring back from a Grand Tour.

Measurements are in the information above. Condition is antique excellent. There may be a little wear around the lip, but then again the uneven color might have been done in the factory. The inside--impossible to photograph--shows some sign of having held flowers, but it is overall clean and ready to go.
