There is nothing quite like the magical combination of white diamonds and blue sapphires ... unless it is the combination of white topaz and blue stones (either genuine sapphire or not; my jeweler could not say easily--but did say that it doesn't change the value). This ring is as showy as it is beautiful; it makes a wonderful accessory for any occasion, including perhaps engagement.

In style it's a combination of Edwardian and art deco, with filigree/carving that recalls the sinuous lines of art nouveau as well. Those curves are beautifully accented by the blue stones and some little clear ones. Great sparkle!

This was made after the high deco period. One way to tell is the platinum coating. I cannot date it exactly, but it is a reproduction, probably from the deco-crazy 1980s.

The main stone is about 3/8 inch x 1/4. The band tapers to 2mm in back.

One flaw to note: one line of 3 blue stones is missing a stone. You don't notice unless looking very closely, so this piece still wears well.
