With a paper hang tag dated 1976, this pastel blue nylon Shadowline nightgown is full length, with a low V-neck sheer lace empire waist bodice and a 3 inch sheer lace hem. Tagged as a Size Small, it will fit a bust of 32 inches. As can be seen in the photos, this is a slim fit gown.

A tiny nylon blue satin bow accents the center front.

This is the quality Shadowline nylon which can be laundered and tumbled dry, however since the paper hang tag remains attached, I have not done that.

Shadowline was a lingerie company, located in Morganton, North Carolina. It was founded in 1946 by Sherrod Salsbury, Jr. The company had the reputation of producing lingerie of very high caliber.

This was an original Salesroom sample, meant to be displayed in a Shadowline showroom. That is where department store and boutique lingerie buyers would come to see what was available to order. The salesroom is where they could buy merchandise in bulk for a future season.

It is in Mint Never Worn Vintage condition, except briefly for this photo session. As you can see, the model wore underwear to pose in this gown.

All the seams are intact and there are no stains, holes, odors or other issues and it comes to you from a pet-free, smoke-free home.
