Elegant both in style and color, this Lillie Rubin regal purple silk statement set has has a circle double layer skirt with a fitted rhinestone button embellished jacket. Both pieces are in Excellent Vintage Condition. The chic tea length skirt has permanent flare at the hemline and is a true beauty made for dancing. A label inside identifies this as "Lillie Rubin " and the fabric content label reads "100% Silk, Trim 100% Acetate, RN 58848, Size 10, Made in Korea".

For the blazer:
Shoulder to shoulder is 15 and 3/4 inches.
Sleeve length is 23 inches, with the under arm length at 16 inches.
Bust size is 37 and 1/2 inches.
Length is 22 and 1/2 inches in the back and 25 and 1/2 inches at the angled front tips.
Width at the waist is 31 and 1/2 inches.

For the skirt:
The waist is elasticized, with a zipper and top hook and it will stretch from 26 to 30 and 1/2 inches.
There is a 7 inch back zipper in the skirt.
Skirt length is 33 inches.
Hemline width is 120 inches.

With silk satin edges, the jacket has a low V style neckline, a drop V center at the waist and three quarter length sleeves.

Of course, this set is so well made. Back in the day the Lillie Rubin name meant high-end design that was flashy, eye catching and well loved by movie stars and other fashion icons of the era.

Everything is fully lined in a beautiful flattering purple color acetate.

In place of shoulder pads there are light inner pleated fabric inserts in the upper arms to keep the slightly puffed shape of the sleeves.

There are no stains (even in the lining), holes, worn areas, snags or seams unraveling anywhere.

The cuffs, neckline and the underarms are clean and all of the rhinestone buttons are intact.
