Beautiful summer wide brim straw by Whittall & Shon. Fabric is a lilac straw with silk flowers. Circle brim is indented in the front giving it a heart shape. Tucked underneath is a large arrive of small purple silk flowers much like iris. Shallow crown is a pleated matching fabric. The base is a white covered wire cap.

There are condition issues. The white underneath cap is badly soiled inside and out. The silk flowers have many rust and age spots. I have photographed these areas closely.

Inner circumference is 22 inches. Brim extends 5 3/4 inches on the sides and back.

Label is Whittall & Son. Label was first used in 1985 and continues today, creators are Eliot Whittall and Richard Shon.
