1937 Coronation mug for Edward VIII, the controversial King who 10 months later abdicated the thrown to be with the woman he loved. A cool little piece of British history. This one is marked "Copeland Spode" on the base.

In fair vintage condition overall with some definite signs of wear and age. Most notably the handle has been repaired in 4 places, it does seems to be a good repair job overall but I'd probably only use this cup for display or as a pencil holder. I would not use it to drink out of. Theres also a hairline crack on the front and crazing in the base. Still displays well.
