Khaki Helmet Liner Aviator Cap 40’s-50’s$18.00
This khaki cotton canvas cap or helmet liner probably dates from the mid-20th century, circa 1940s-1950s. Perfect for a vintage aviatrix costume, or wearing under a helmet of any type (motorcycle, military, hard hat, etc.), it has a soft, cotton flannel lining, for comfort. The straps around the front opening snap closed, to attach your goggles, sunglasses. It fits well on a female head of approximately 22 hat size: a bit small by modern standards, but a typical of a vintage ladies hat size. The cap or helmet liner is in very good condition, with some light yellowing to the cream-colored flannel lining, not seen when worn (see back-view photo of the cap inside out). A fun steampunk-style accessory, or a practical addition to your modern helmet, either way, this vintage cotton cap/liner is a relatively rare find!
