Awesome find. These are becoming harder for me to find at a price I can justify reselling for. I lucked at an estate sale for this one. In great pre-worn condition
This is an original Kaiser batik pure semi-sheer cotton caftan from the late 60s to early 70s
Semi-sheer beautiful block print batik and paisley.
Huge angel sleeves and full drape.
It is in great pre-worn condition with no structural damage seen. The hem was hemmed up about 5 inches and I have undone the alteration. There are a few discolorations that are shown in pics that I cannot notice when it is draped and worn and these may be original or may come out or fade with a good cleaning. There is also some possible light bleed, it's really hard to tell if these minor flaws are due to the individual and hand-blocked print or others. I have owned dozens of these in the past 50 yrs and have cleaned them often and they don't tend to bleed. Also, my camera is on its last few legs and some light leaks and darkening in the last pics are not discoloration just an old funky camera and cheap lights.
It is OSFA and lacks shoulder and sleeve seams. Bust, waist, and hips are taken flat back from seam to seam These need to be doubled for total inches.
Bust - 22. 5"
Waist -21"
Hips - 27. 5"
Length - Approx 60"
