set of 5 hand painted porcelain plates / bowls, made in Japan. Each plate in this set is beautifully hand painted showcasing elegant scenes of a traditional Japanese village on water, a person in a fishing boat, and metallic gold bordering. The plates are in unique diamond shapes with indentions on each corner making them easy to pick up and move around. The undersides are white just like the tops. The raised sides have blue paint brush strokes on the outsides, representing water. They are each hand painted...you can see the beautiful brush stroke work. are each hand signed. A lovely addition to your dining room or equally as lovely as display pieces.
