This is a lovely lush black velvet strapless gown. The gown has a sweetheart neckline that is trimmed in a velvet ruffle and below that there is a band of gathering. There is also a fun strand of gathered fuchsia velvet on the inside of the gown, I am not sure if it was meant to be a fun little peek-a-boo, or just what they had to line the top edge of the bodice in. The bodice is fully boned for support and is fitted through the waist. The skirt of the gown falls to the floor and is a wonderful loose circle skirt. The gown also has wonderful silk rose at the waist in a lovely crimson color. The rose has some wonderful velvet petals and has velvet leaves as well. There is a metal zipper up the back with two hooks and eyes at the top for closure.

Condition:

The gown is in great condition with only a few flaws to note. The gown does have some crushing to the velvet, mostly at the hem but it is scattered over the dress. There are also some small repairs to the hem of the skirt, most are not bigger than a pencil eraser. The gown has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
