This is a stunning inky black cotton velvet 20s dress. It has a scooped neckline and a small placket on the left shoulder that opens a bit to help the dress pull over the head. The placket fastens with 4 hooks and eyes. It has wonderful full balloon styled sleeves that fasten at the wrist with a hook and eye. (The dress is too big for my mannequins so the sleeves are folded a bit and the body is pinned in the back to fit.) The dress is an iconic drop waist silhouette. It is simple and hangs straight in the front. In the back the dress hangs straight till the drop waist where there are rows of wonderful smocking that adds volume in the back.

Condition:

The dress is in great condition with no flaws. There is one thing to note, the dress has been taken in a good bit. So there is room for it to be let out some. This is also why the dress is a bit more fitted than traditional 20s dresses in the font. The dress has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
