This is an incredible 1910s dress in stunning condition for its age. It has a lovely ruched bodice that should sit as an empire waist. The neckline is covered in lace with beaded pearl trim. The dress has a beautifully draped collar detail that runs around the front to the back of the bodice. The sleeves hang under the drapery on the top and are very graceful. They are gathered in the front and are slightly belled. Each element of the dress is decorated with a glass pearl beaded trim. The attached skirt hangs asymmetrically by two gathers; one on the front and one on the back. The dress opens up in the back with over a dozen little hook and bars. There is a cummerbund styled belt with beautiful rows of pleats. It has hooks and threaded loops to attach. The belt also has celluloid support on the back with two sets of loops so the belt can be adjusted.

Condition:

The only flaws this dress has are a few pulls to the silk in the skirt and some missing white beads, they are only noticeable up-close. Pearl beads that were missing or broken have been replaced with new glass pearl beads. There were about 50 beads that were replaced and I will send some along for you to have extra. The original and new pearls are real glass and can shatter, just be mindful of this.

The dress is made of soft shiny silk. The silk is strong but it is thin silk and should be handled delicately. The silk itself is not fragile at all. The dress has been laundered and is ready to wear.
