This is a rare 3D horse brooch that was purchased at Marshall Field's (tag is still on the back). Made in Louisiana to benefit the Alliance for Homeless and Disabled Artists. The brooch appears to be a horse form that is wrapped with old Mardi Gras ball gowns and costumes. Metallic fabrics, bright colors, fine copper wire wrapping. Circa early 1990s. The brooch is in awesome condition. The card it is mounted on shows some wear and marks. Measures 3. 5" x 3. 25" Pin stem and catch work well.
