Nice hard to find edition of Heidi by Johanna Spyri & Illustrated by Alice Carsey. This is an early Whitman book, there is no actual copyright, not uncommon in imported children's books in the early 20th century. This is definitely an early printing for the publishers who formed in 1900. In the 60s Whitman went to a distinctive boxy cover style.

In good vintage , there is a lot of fade to the spine color and other signs of wear and age. Includes an inscription inside to the original owner.
