This is a fantastic piece! I believe the wool originated from a blanket. It's thick, heavy-duty wool. Nicely constructed, the stitching is tight and clean. You can see the handmade details in the pockets with the fold (pic #5). Bullet snaps, closure & cuffs. The cuffs have unhemmed edging (see pic #8). The interior shows the construction. The collar has a slight 70s style point (pic #3).

In very nice Vintage condition. One small moth nibble at the lower front Right panel (see pic #'s 12 & 13). I can back it with a patch, upon request at completion of purchase. It's really very small and inconsequential though. No other damage/flaws. It's a great, nicely made, unique piece.

I'm confident that the fabric is 100% wool it has the weight and feel comparable to a Pendleton wool blanket but there's no way to know the origin of the fabric.
