Love this very unique mid century hand thrown & painted Comical Mugs made by Sue Starnes. These have a series of very funny illustrations of people saying comical and not always politically correct things. Many are dated and includes names of the people they were made for. They seem to be done over a period of time in the mid 1960s. Just incredibly original, truly one of kind pieces with so many great details from the period.

I could not find any info on the artist "Sue Starnes" she may have just been a hobbiest but the mugs are well made with nice handles (not easy to make for an amateur). The set includes 7 mugs. Great colors and condition overall, just minor signs of wear and age.
