This is a really beautiful miniature Russian lacquered box, with an intricate hand painted scene. On less than a two inch canvas it depicts a scene from Russian folklore. There is writing along the base, including what looks like possibly the artist name "M. Xoayu" though hard to say! Amazing little thing, would make a lovely ring or pill box.

In very good vintage condition, with lovely color and minor signs of wear and age.
