Gossard Artemis 37 Robe W Beige Lace Coral Color Nylon Victorianinspired Long Robe Long Full Sleeves Front Buttons Vintage by Gossard Artemis

This vintage Gossard Artemis Victorian-inspired coral color nylon robe is a truly romantic style, made with attention to detail and quality materials. Size Medium, it has a low cut square style neckline, accented with two rows of beige flat sheer lace and stitched down tiny pleats.

Please use the measurements below to assure a perfect fit as sizing has changed over the years:
Bust ~~~ 37 and 1/2 inches
Shoulder to shoulder ~~~ 16 inches
Sleeves ~~~ 25 and 1/2 inches from neckline lace to hem edge
Arm hole opening ~~~ 22 and 1/2 inches around
Wrist opening ~~~ 9 inches
Under sleeve length ~~~ 18 inches
Waist ~~~ 50 inches
Full length ~~~ 48 inches
Hemline width ~~~ 62 and 1/2 inches

There are long full gathered sleeves, edged with that same flat beige lace.

Some lovely features are in this robe. For example, inside the shoulders there are two attached small nylon fabric loops to allow you to hang this on a hook without causing any potential stretching or damage to the nylon fabric.

In the front there are seven fabric-covered buttons and one hidden snap at the bodice.

There is one hidden side pocket.

It is very feminine in style, with a figure-forgiving slight A-line design.

Made with quality, the fabric label reads "Gossard Artemis, Size Medium Style 7104, Body: 100% Nylon Lace: 100% Polyester P67". It is machine washable and may be tumbled dry.

This is a lovely vintage treasure to own and wear now and it is a classic design that is in Very Good Vintage condition. As can be seen in the photos, even the fabric tag shows little wear, so you know this has not been worn very much if at all.

I do not find any snags in the nylon, there are no stains, the lace is pristine, all seams are intact and the fabric-covered buttons and snap are all intact.

This comes to you from a pet-free, smoke-free home and it has been freshly laundered so it will arrive at your home clean and ready to wear.

A bit of history about the Gossard Artemis company according to the Vintage Fashion Guild ~~~ "The H. W. Gossard Company was founded in Chicago in 1901 by Henry Williamson Gossard. The product was corsets. In 1922, H. W. Gossard opened offices in London and built a factory there in 1926. There they developed the first front-lacing corsets. In the 1930's the company headquarters was moved to Britain. They continued to make corsets and they also produced bras. During WWII, Gossard switched from corsets to parachutes, but after the war continued in the production of “foundation garments.” They developed lightweight girdles and bras using a relatively new fiber, nylon. Following the tide of fashion, the late 1960's brought a more natural look to Gossard. They developed the Wonder Bra and the Ultra Bra. Gossard is still in business."
