This well made brooch can go into two catagories: Mardi Gras favor brooch or scarab pin/pendant. It is a large brooch at 1.75 by 1.25 inches. The scarab has good detail showing its mottled raised dotted surface. It can be used as a brooch or a pendant, with a hook on the back behind the head. On the back is inscribed ," K o H, 2010", which indicates it was a ball favor from the Krewe of Hermes at carnival time in 2010. It is substantial and gold plated.
