It folds up quite small, so it occupies very little room, and can be pulled out if you need it (if maybe you bought too much to fit in your luggage on the way home-- it happens to the best of us). A full top zipper and 3 outer zip compartments keep all your goodies secure, and the top expands in height (see pic 1 vs pic 2) for maximum carrying capabilities.
