George and Martha Goblets Candle Holders by Fostoria for Avon Royal Blue 1975

These footed goblets were released originally as candle holders from 1975-1977 to commemorate the Bicentennial. They are also considered wine goblets. 

They call this a royal blue rather than a cobalt because it is a lighter shade than the traditional cobalt.

The cameo of George and Martha are frosted.  Goblet has an almost hobnail effect at the base with the crisscross diamond cut and vertical ribbing on the upper portion. Very comfortable to hold and sturdy to withstand repetitive washing.

Measures approx: 8 1/4" tall and has a capacity of approx: 8oz
