A beautiful book of the important gardens of Virginia, sponsored by the Garden Club of Virginia, Gardens and Landscapes of Virginia, is a collection of the historic properties that the club has helped restore. The Garden Club of Virginia was founded in 1929. Funding has been provided to over 45 separate gardens, in support from their annual Historic Garden Week in Virginia tours held in April. A few of the Included properties in this book; Monticello, Ashlawn, Maymont, Gunston Hall, Bacon's Castle, Montpelier, Norfolk Botanical Garden, etc.
