This is a Franciscan Atomic Starburst vegetable bowl, also great size for side dishes and makes a perfect pasta bowl. These can be tough to find however this one does have condition issues so see condition info below. The pattern was designed by George James and was only produced from 1954-1957. Made with with a clay called Malinite, where the glazes become so fused with the body that they cannot craze. Another glaze feature lies in the brilliant palette of colors and matte textures that can be produced.
It is in fair vintage condition with definite signs of wear and use. It has numerous nicks around the edges, some other marks and a light hairline crack along the base, hence the low price. Please see all photos.
