The art deco era was all about black and white ... or black and clear in this case. A hand-knotted sautoir 36 inches around, alternating black and clear glass beads.

The longest beads are 1. 75 inches. The rest vary in size proportionally.

This could perhaps benefit from restringing, but I'm not sure it's needed. There is one frayed knot, as pictured, but the strand seems pretty secure. No guarantees ... If you stabilize that knot, the strand may hold true for years to come.

Condition is very good. There are a few flea bites and tiny scratches if you look very close up, as expected from any necklace this age.

This is a genuine item. I have made an effort to catch and mention any flaws, but remember that it will not look as if it were made this morning.

Note that this is a nonsmoking household, but it is home to several feline Americans. The kitty will not come with your package, but she might help me tape it up.
