Beautiful antique first edition of Five Little Peppers: Phronsie Pepper by Margaret Sidney. Published in 1887 by Lothrop Publising Co. in Boston. It's illustrated by Jessie McDermott and has a lovely embossed cover with touches of gold and red added to the design. Ms. Sidney planned this to he the final book of the series but urgent request from fans inspired her to write two more. Those were "prequels" to this one so chronologically this would be the last book.

In very good antique condition with some signs of wear and age, including the front cover being slightly warped, some pages starting to separate near the base toward the end of the text (see photo) and there is a name on the first end page. Otherwise in great shape for age overall.
