40s/50s Occupied Japan Bookend Colorful Girl Reading
This great little lady has been in my life for 20 years ... Now I have too many books to give space to bookends. She's very colorful ceramic, made in Japan after the U. S. occupation of the 1940s. I love her tiered skirt and her intent expression as she reads.
Condition is great, with no issues to note. The dust, as always, is free. The felt on bottom is a little bit worn, but I'm leaving it there as an original.
Nice and reasonably heavy--she can't hold up your entire collection of Dickens, but she will hold a few books in place, especially on a nice shelf.
From a nonsmoking, pet-loving home.
