Two interesting anthologies by Modern Library, a division of Random House that produced small, quality but affordable hardcovers form great authors. These are particularly fun are being sold separately.

Favorite Ghost stories published in 1944 and includes 16 stories, see photo of contents page for complete list. I only recognize a few of the authors, like Saki but the titles sound interesting.

Fourteen Great Detective Stories includes a much more renowned list including Edgar Allen Poe, Agatha Christie and Ellery Queen. See photo of contents page for full list.

Both are in very good condition overall with normal signs of wear and age, most noticeably on the spines. Also they each have a name and date on a front end page, same person who also liked to mark off the stories as they read them in the case of the Ghost Stories.
