Glenara For Glenoit
Faux Fur Stole Regina Glenara for Glenoit Light Brownblonde 60s Label Fully Lined Collar Vintage by Glenara For Glenoit$58.00
Styled by Regina Glenara for Glenoit, this vintage faux fur stole personifies the saying "Everything old is new again". Wearing vintage furs, whether real or faux, is a terrific way to recycle and be green way with a chic style. For sale here is a light 2-tone brown shoulder wrap, with a design straight from the 1960's era. There is no fabric content label, which is one indication this was made then. After 1971 in the USA all garments were required to have a label showing both the fabric content and country of origin.
This is the style called a stole and was meant to be worn over the shoulders with a slight wrap or slightly down over the arms. There are no sleeves, although there is a built-in shape to the garment, which makes it drape and fit nicely on your shoulders. The collar is sewn so that it can be raised.
In Very Good vintage condition, there are no moth bites, holes, worn or torn areas.
It is fully lined and the beige satin lining is pretty with a subtle floral pattern.
I can't speak as to how or even if it was stored properly. It does appear to be well cared for and lightly worn. The one thing to mention is that the faux fur is not as shiny or soft as some I have seen.
There is no size label, and most stoles like this were meant to essentially be a "One Size Fits Most" unlike coats or jackets which had more fit in the construction.
The measurements are below:
