1980's copper, enamel brooch featuring a spectacular head of Alexander the Great, meticulously hand crafted by acclaimed Canadian artist Catherine Crowe. Signed, 1&3/4". EUC Polished metal surface w/ colorful inlaid enamel. This design (retired) is derived from a 4th century BC, Celtic coin. The Parisii minted their first coins with an abstraction of Macedonian coins. This OOAK piece presents artfully blended, cross cultural motifs as well as sophisticated craftsmanship.
