80’s-90’s Fully embroidered front and back Huipol done on velvet. Huipol geometric pattern in purple, yellow, blue, green, orange, and white. Huipol is the most common traditional garment worn by indigenous women from Central America and Mexico. The tunic like piece is always embroidered and consists of heavy pieces of fabric sewn together. The style of Huipol usually indicates the community and origin of the wearer.
