Edwardian Whimsical White Cotton Nightgown Lace Neckline$325.00
This is a wonderful 1900s Edwardian fine linen cotton nightgown. The gown has the most beautiful neckline. It is a wide scoop neck made of a combination of lace embroidery and ruffed panels. The neckline has a lace ruffle around it and there is a silk drawstring through to adjust. Below, the lace scallops into points and at the center it features a gorgeous open work butterfly with flowers on the sides. There are little pintucks at the breast to fit the top of the gown. The sleeves of the gown are just as stunning as the neckline. They are fluttery little short bell sleeves with a handkerchief hem of lace. The rest of the sleeves are strips of lace and eyelet cotton. The skirt of the gown is very loose and falls to the floor. There is a flounce that adds a bit more fun and volume at the hem.
Condition:
The nightgown is in great condition overall with the only flaw being some faint staining to the left sleeve on the back. (A rust color that did not come out in the laundering of the gown. The gown has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
